Getting children back in the classroom by removing barriers

Breakout Room 2
Outcomes & Impact
Persistent absence cannot be solved through attendance processes alone. For many children, returning to the classroom depends on feeling safe and understood at school. This session will explore why some families are no longer responding to established approaches and how trusts can rebuild confidence without losing consistency across their schools. What role do central teams play in removing barriers, supporting schools with complex cases and creating the conditions in which children want, and are able, to return.
