John Camp
John Camp OBE FCCT is an innovative leader, both locally and nationally, with a proven track record of system and school transformation. He is skilled in educational leadership and research, system change, organisational culture, leadership development and school improvement. John is the founding Chief Executive of The Compass Partnership of Schools, and is now the Co-CEO of the Compass Eko Trust following the merger of the two Trusts . Compass Eko is a high achieving Trust with a strong record of school improvement that sustains high performance over time. The trust comprises 28 schools in total, two all-through SEMH schools, two all-through special schools for learners with an autism diagnosis and complex needs, and 24 primary schools across the south east and east of England. John was elected as Vice President of The Association of School and College Leaders in March 2022 and became President for 2023 to 2024. John was awarded an OBE for services to education in the King’s first birthday honours list. He is a system leader who contributes to education policy and evaluation at a national level.
John is also a Trustee for The Ambition Institute and The Maritime Children’s Foundation.
