Sarah Baber is an accomplished educational leader with over 20 years of experience in the education sector. As the CEO of Great Learners Trust, she is dedicated to improving educational outcomes for all pupils.
Professional Journey:
• Headteacher: Prior to her current role, Sarah served as a Headteacher for 10 years, during which she led her school to achieve two outstanding Ofsted judgements. Her strategic leadership and clear, ambitious vision propelled the school to new heights.
• Technology Advocate: Sarah is a passionate advocate for the purposeful integration of technology in education. Under her visionary leadership, her school earned national recognition as a Microsoft Showcase School, Microsoft Training Academy, and DfE EdTech Demonstrator School. As CEO, Sarah has continued to drive an ambitious digital strategy across the Trust, resulting in two schools being recognised among the EdTech 50 Schools in the UK.
• Sarah inspires leaders and educators to harness technology as a catalyst for engagement, creativity, and improved outcomes. Her focus on innovation and digital confidence has empowered staff to transform their practice—enhancing collaboration, problem-solving, and pupil motivation. Across the Trust, schools have established podcasting studios, green screen rooms, all designed to enrich the learning experience.
• Central to Sarah’s approach is a commitment to upskilling educators and cultivating a culture where staff feel confident to explore new approaches. Her leadership has redefined how technology supports teaching and learning, ensuring it remains a driver of excellence and inclusion across all schools in the Trust.

Sarah actively collaborates with the Department for Education (DfE) and presents nationally on the effective use of technology in education. Her insights and expertise contribute to shaping the future of educational practises across the country.
