A Headteacher since 2003, Sir John is credited with the turnaround of a large number of schools in the Leeds city region.  A National Leader of Education, Sir John is an experienced inspector of schools and now leads one of the highest performing academy trusts in the country.

Sir John is now one of the leading voices in the country regarding the continuing underperformance of disadvantaged students across our schools and is candid and challenging in his perspective regarding the failed approaches of the last decade and the solutions that are now necessary to bring about the required change.
